Margaret Elizabeth O’HAGAN (nee Dentinger) of Walkerton, on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, surrounded by her loving family in her 95th year. Loving mother of Terry and Mary O’Hagan, Dennis and Linda O’Hagan, Mary-Jane and Frank Koebel, and Karen and Steve Harper, all of Walkerton. Cherished grandmother of Bridget, Rory, Riley, Darren, Nathan, Braden, Sarah, Frankie, Vicky, Meagan, Trevor, Robin, and their spouses. Margaret was the proud great-grandmother of 13 and was excitedly anticipating the arrival of her 14th great-grandchild at the end of February. She will be missed by her brother Louis Dentinger of Walkerton, and brother-in-law Bill Milhausen of Calgary, and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Midford, who passed away in 1972, her parents Alphonse and Anna (nee Brick) Dentinger, parents-in-law Nicholas and Margaret (nee Cassidy) O’Hagan, brothers Johnny and Marion Dentinger and Magnus Dentinger in-Infancy, sister Mildred Milhausen, and Midford’s 10 siblings and their spouses.
Margaret was a proud member of the Catholic Women’s League for over 50 years and her Catholic faith was of utmost importance to her in her life. She resided in the same house for the last 65 years which was typically always the gathering place for card games, socials, and family, especially on Sunday mornings for coffee with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You could often find her at the Walkerton Arena cheering on all 12 of her grandchildren during their hockey games or on ball diamonds in the summer. Margaret will be remembered for her caring heart, loving smile, and her strong sense of resilience from raising her 4 children by herself after Midford’s untimely passing in 1972.
