Clarke, Helen (Age 94, Listowel)
April 6, 2020 10:00 amAt Caressant Care, Listowel, on Thursday, April 2, 2020, Mrs. Helen Mae (Coulter) Clarke of Listowel, and formerly of Wroxeter, in her 95th year.
Beloved wife of the late John Clarke who predeceased her in 2000. Dear mother of Rick & Pauline Clarke of Orillia, Nancy Thompson of London, and Randy & Terry Clarke of Sarnia. Grandmother of Chantell, Michael, Paula, Andrew, Shane, and Alexis, and great-grandmother of 13.
Predeceased by her parents William and Clara (Willoughby) Coulter, brothers Glen Coulter and Adam Coulter, sisters Edith McIntosh, and Mabel Machan, daughter Connie Clarke, infant daughter Darlene, and granddaughter Sandee Subject.
Over the years Helen spent many of her summer weekends at the lake and enjoyed a host of friends who shared the same interests first in Port Elgin and then in Bayfield. She also enjoyed snowmobiling for many years with friends and eventually this was replaced by winters spent in Florida with those same friends. She was an avid Euchre and Lost Heir player and truly enjoyed a good game of cards. Her memory was as sharp as a tack and she had a great sense of humour right up to the end.
A family graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2020 with interment in Wroxeter Cemetery. Memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel. Online condolences may be left at www.eatonfuneralhome.ca
