Van-Bergen-RosaWith the love of her family in her heart, Rosa Maria (neé Van Nynatten) Van Bergen passed away at Seaforth Community Hospital on Monday, April 13, 2020. In her 92 years among us Rosa was a source of love and faith within the circle of her family and friends. Rosa created countless treasures with her knitting needles and her quilting skills, more importantly Rosa threaded countless stitches of caring and sharing in the lives of all who were privileged to know her.

Rosa will be lovingly remembered by her children Joanne and Lloyd Pickering, Linda and Robert Kistner, Peter and Bonnie Van Bergen of Dublin, Maryann and Pat Feeney, Paul and Deb Van Bergen, Teresa and Paul White and Nancy and Ken Ruston. Memories of a much loved grandma remain with 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Left to reminisce days gone by are siblings Dien Vrints, Marie Suykerbuyk, Rika Brosens and Leen Van Bergen, siblings-in-law Nellie Van Nynatten and Marie Van Nynatten and a large circle of family in Holland.

In faith, we trust that Rosa’s spirit is reunited in eternal life with her husband Frank (1998), their son Henry, her parents Peter and Johanna (née Naalden) Van Nynatten and all those in the Van Bergen and Van Nynatten families who have gone on before us.

Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth. Private family interment will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Dublin. A time to honour Rose’s life and seek comfort in our faith will be held at St James Roman Catholic Church, 22 Victoria Street, Seaforth, when love, handshakes and hugs can once again be shared safely. In the meantime, remember Rosa with a smile and offer a prayer of thanksgiving for the many ways she influenced our lives.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to St. James Catholic Church Fund Building Fund or Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be shared by visiting Rosa’s online memorial at www.haskettfh.com
