Braecker BrunoSurrounded by the love of his family, Bruno Braecker, of Walton, passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, after a brief illness. The times and seasons of Bruno’s 80 years among us were blessed with the satisfaction that accompanied the tilling, planting and harvesting the acres of his McKillop Township farm… of course, while driving his Steiger Tractor. Bruno’s often stubborn, ornery ways were simply a shell for a man who loved his family, his friends, his pets and farm life. His presence will be missed within his family circle and among our community.

Bruno will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Joyce (née Wilson) and their children John and Karen Braecker and Michelle Braecker and Paul Gibson. Treasuring memories of a much loved grandpa are grandchildren Adam and Roxanne Braecker, Holly Braecker and Blake Cardiff, Allison Braecker and great granddaughter Myer Braecker.

Left to reminisce days gone by are siblings and siblings-in-law Melanie Blochlinger, Alice and Rudy Penner and Geraldine Wilson, along with many nieces and nephews.

Bruno is predeceased by his parents Johann and Melanie (née Bosch) Braecker and siblings-in-law Paul Blochlinger, Ewart Wilson, Ann and Chip Wood, Edna Wilson and Linda Wilson.

Arrangements are entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth. Honouring Bruno’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will take place at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery at a later date. A time for family and friends to gather and honour Bruno’s life will be held when love, handshakes and hugs can once again be shared safely. In the meantime, raise a glass of vodka and water and remember Bruno with a smile.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation or Cystic Fibrous Foundation Canada Research would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be shared by visiting Bruno’s online memorial at www.haskettfh.com
