Cowan, William (Age 91, Hanover)
May 2, 2020 10:00 amWilliam “Bill” J. Cowan, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at The Village Senior’s Community on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. He was 91.
Beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Fischer) Cowan. Dear brother of Marion Elliott of Listowel. He will be remembered by his sister in law Dorothy Cowan of Brampton. Remembered by his nieces, nephews: Jeff (Judy) Boylan, Lorrie (Paul) Runge, Katherine (Ken) Taylor, Patricia (Mitchell) Granter, Marcia (Don) Vollmer, Sheryl Elliott (Derek Asselestine) and their families. Always remembered by special friends Gary (Carol) Rahn, Cheryl Rawn, Mary Johnston and Theresa (Morris) Leifso. Predeceased by his sister Luella Van Eck, brother Lorne Cowan, nephew William Paul Elliott and in laws Charles Boylan, Maurice Van Eck and Harvey Elliott.
In keeping with the mandates from the Province of Ontario, Family and friends are invited to join the family in honoring Bill with a Memorial Celebration Service held via livestream on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 11 am through the Mighton Funeral Home Facebook page and will remain available there for those who are unable to watch at the time of the service.
Rev. John Polacok officiating. Cremation with inurnment in Hanover Cemetery. Memorial donations to the St. Matthews Ev. Lutheran Church, Hanover would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Register book available at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
