Hinz, Rodney
May 1, 2020 10:30 amRodney Dale Hinz (Farmer) passed away at Stratford General Hospital on April 29, 2020.
He was one of a kind and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. His wife Patti and family Loretta, Jordan and Peyton Yeo, Jocelyn and Devon Belfour, Ethan Hinz and Heidi Nelson and his sister Sandra Hinz will forever cherish their memories of Rodney.
He will never be forgotten by Michael Van Herk, Rosemary and Leonard Auger, Gerald and Barbara Van Herk and their families. Rodney will be dearly missed by all of our extended family. Rodney’s nickname Farmer was inspired by his life experiences as a farmer and carried on in his career driving for Woodcock Brothers for 34 years.
He never missed an event or activity in which Loretta, Jocelyn and Ethan were involved. He was their number one fan and that legacy was also being passed on to Peyton, Jordan and Devon.
He was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church all of his life and served in many different roles. He especially enjoyed ringing the church bells and was able to ring them Easter morning to remind us that joy can be found even during the darkest times. Rodney was predeceased by his mother and father Donna and Ronald Hinz.
Cremation has taken place and the celebration of Rodney’s life will take place when we can safely be together. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Stratford General Hospital, Stratford Perth Museum or a charity of ones choice at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
We respectfully ask that no food or flowers be brought to the house as we are still trying to observe isolation measures to protect us all during such difficult days.
