Sanders, Campbell (Age 69, Listowel)
June 8, 2020 2:00 pmCampbell (Cam) Sanders – of Listowel, formerly of Newry, passed away as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Friday, June 5, 2020 at the age of 69. Cam was the proud owner of WSC Transport for over 10 years. He farmed in Elma Township for most of his life, loved horseback riding, played and coached baseball and hockey and was very active in the community. Cam also enjoyed refinishing antique Cockshutt tractors with his friend John. He loved watching his grandchildren playing sports and spending time with his many friends.
Beloved husband of Joanne (Barras) Sanders whom he married in 1974. Loving father of Ryan Sanders and Carrie Sanders (Matt Gardner). Papa Cam to his four cherished grandchildren Paige, Tayt, Fischer and Kinleigh. Missed by his brother-in-law Glenn (Susan) Barras, uncle Len Campbell, aunt Marion Wood and aunt Shirley Rea. Fondly remembered by his nephews and nieces Jason (Donna) Markle, Geoffrey Markle, Chris (Marie) Markle, Katie (James) Willey, Lindsay Barras, cousins, his many friends and Jackie Sanders.
Predeceased by his parents Jack and Annie (Campbell) Sanders and his sister Cheryl and her husband David Markle.
Relatives and friends are invited to participate in a drive-by visitation on Tuesday June 9, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the parking lot of WSC Transport, 1900 Bassett Avenue S, Listowel. In keeping with the regulations set out by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario in regards to Covid-19, all restrictions will be met. Please do not leave your vehicle and follow the visitation route beginning on Bassett Avenue South. A private family service will be held with Rev. Margie Smith officiating followed by interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to The Atwood Lions Club or Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
