Clayton LawrenceClayton Lawrence Riley “Farmer”

Suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, August 9, 2020 of RR 2 Seaforth at the age of 67. Cherished husband and best friend of Dawn (Wood) Riley for over 46 years. Proud father of Stacey St. Denis, and Jamie Riley and Angela Hartin. Adored poppa of Nikolas, and Mason St. Denis and Jeylin, Westin, and Chanel Riley. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Shirley Langlois of Calgary, AB, David and Joan Riley of Kitchener, Harvey Riley of St. Thomas, Nancy and Douglas Bickell of Brampton, Steven and Stella Riley of Kitchener, and Ralph and Dianne Wood of Harpurhey.  Clayton will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and his dog Scanner. Predeceased by his parents Archie and Viola (Cardiff) Riley, sister-in-law Carol Riley, brother-in-law Randy Wood, and parents-in-law Chip and Anne Wood.

Clayton was a lifelong farmer, with a passion for his livestock and fields. He was a true “go big or go home” kind of guy. He was a gentle giant who loved life, a “walking heart on two legs”. Clayton will be greatly missed on the yearly moose hunting trips, always organizing everyone to ensure the tags and his hunting buddies were looked after and in order for the upcoming season. It was once said that Clayton could tell better stories than Walt Disney. Each time the story was told, it always got bigger and better. He never missed an opportunity for road side produce deliveries, or to help someone in need.
