Poechman, Harold Raymond (Age 91, Carlsruhe)

Haven in Walkerton on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. He was 91.
Born on October 16, 1929 in Brant Township to the late Linus and Helen (nee Weiler)
Poechman. Actively involved in many organizations, Harold was a member of the Ontario
Federation of Agriculture, Knights of Columbus, Grey Bruce Catholic School Board, as
well as Grey Bruce Mutual Insurance Board. He enjoyed being a pork and poultry
producer as well as a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Carlsruhe. He loved being
involved and committed to various organizations.
Survived by children Gerald (Marlene) Poechman of Walkerton, Barb (Steve) Schuknecht
of Chesley, Marianne Poechman of Walkerton and Wayne (Jan) Poechman of Walkerton.
Loved grandfather of Maria, Matthew, Melissa, Nathan, Ben, Daniel, Sean, Katie, Mary
Sue, Jacob, Paul, Christine, Heather, Shawna and great grandfather of Peyton, Easton, Ilan,
Luna, Charlotte, Karissa, Ava, Aviv, Brooklyn and Colton. Dear brother of Allan (Joan)
Poechman of Walkerton, Edith Austin of Kitchener, and brother in law of Dianne
Poechman of Kitchener. Predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Zettler), brothers Francis and
Willard Poechman, sister Lillian Tubbs and brother in law Evan Austin.
A Public Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Friday, October
30, 2020 from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at
10:00 am, at Holy Family Church, Hanover.
As per the provincial regulations and COVID-19 restrictions, all visitors are
requested to wear a mask when inside the funeral home as well as the
church. The maximum number allowed at any one time at the funeral home
is 40 people including immediate family. All social distancing measures will
be taken. If friends wish to attend the Funeral Mass, please contact the Funeral Home at
519-364-3660, as there is a limit of 40 additional seats.
For those wishing to view the service from the comfort of home, the Mass will be live

officiating. Interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Carlsruhe, Ontario.
