1952-2020
(After a short courageously fought battle with Necrotizing Pancreatitis….non COVID related)
Peacefully, surrounded by family at London Health Sciences Centre – Critical Care Trauma Centre on Thursday, December 17, 2020 in his 69th year. Devoted husband of Pat (Badley) of 47 years. Beloved father of Karen (Robert) Mason and Kevin Bernard. Poppa will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Caden and Cole. Brother and brother-in-law of Lois De Weese, Les and Brenda Bernard, Marie and Robert Johnston and Dave Bernard and Nancy DeGans. Predeceased by his parents George and Lillian (McClure), brother-in-law Willie De Weese, in-laws Lorne (Pat) and Vera (McDonald) Badley, and brother-in-law Reg Badley. Missed by many nieces and nephews. Harv was a passionate entrepreneur of 28 years in the tree removal/trimming and stump grinding business. He took pride in his work and telling stories of tree jobs he completed, that stretched far and wide across Southwestern Ontario. Memories of his infectious smile, booming laughter and outstretched hand waves often seen in his favourite truck “Big Red” throughout Huron County will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him. Harv was a devoted family man, and a proud poppa that loved his grandsons and he will be greatly missed. Much gratitude goes to all those who have kept, and continue to keep, our family in their hearts as we grieve this loss of our dear husband, father and poppa. As per Harv’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family funeral service will take place. A service to celebrate Harv’s life will be held at a time to be determined when we can all gather to share hugs and to tell stories of remembrance. Those who wish are encouraged to share your photos and memories of Harv at www.falconerfuneralhomes.com that the family will compile into a memory book and would be greatly appreciated. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Camp Menesetung or the Alzheimer Society would be truly appreciated.
