Taylor, Eleanor (Age 84, Kincardine)
December 31, 2020 10:32 amEleanor Luella Ann Taylor (nee Speers), formerly of Kincardine, Seaforth, Toronto and Palmerston, passed away peacefully at Wellington Terrace, Fergus on Tuesday, Dec. 29th, 2020 in her 85th year.
Ellie is survived by brother Gordon Speers of Allen Park; Brother-in-law/Sister-in-law David and Bridget Taylor of UK; Step-Sister Jean Hoffmann (Waterloo); Sister-in-laws Dorothy Speers (Elora); June Speers-Steward (Brantford); Verna Jean Speers (Palmerston).
Ellie was a wonderful Aunt to Sherll-Anne Speers/Mark Reid (Hanover); Colleen Wagner (Nottawasaga); Martha Speers (Walkerton); Maureena Speers (Hanover); Brunie Speers (Hanover); Sandy/Bill Kane (Bedford, NS); Carol/Jack Allan (Binbrook); Wendy/Alex (Smitty) Smith (Kenilworth); Jim/Nancy Speers (Elora); Don/Debbie Speers (Elora); Ken/Diane Speers (Palmerston); Debbie/Joe Wilkie (Fall River NS); Claire/Bob Forgie (Simcoe); Ed Speers (Kitchener); Stephen/Linda Speers (Princeton); Patti/Rick Biro (Paris); JoAnne/Warren Caughill (Palmerston); Janna/Don Dodds (Wingham); Kevin/Tiona Speers (Clifford); Sarah Haney and Paul Nixon (Gloucestershire, UK); Simon/Annette Taylor (Denmark) and many many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Ellie is predeceased by her husband Peter Taylor; her parents Wesley and Clarissa Speers (Cowan); Step-Mother Margaret Speers (Connell) as well as her brothers/sister-in-laws Frank Speers (Elora), Alex Speers (Princeton), John Speers (Palmerston), Jim Speers (Sarnia/Palmerston), Brunhilde Speers (Allen Park), Herb Hoffmann (Waterloo), Rev. Cameron Hill (Canmore, Alberta) and nephews Reinie Wagner, Glen Speers, Dave Edwards, Paul Speers and Kirk Speers.
Special friend to Kate Kincaid and Bob (The Butler) and Denise Jameson of Kincardine.
Ellie’s working years kept her in Toronto until she and Peter retired to Seaforth then on to Kincardine. Along with Family, The United Church, Eastern Star and Daughters of Nile were an important part of Aunt Ellie’s life. Our Family wishes to thank the Staffs at Malcolm Place in Kincardine and Wellington Terrace in Fergus for their care and compassion.
