October 12, 2021 11:09 amMarjorie Moyer, of Durham, passed away at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Saturday, October 9th, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late George Moyer. Loving mother of the late Elmer Moyer and Deb, Noreen Dempsey and the late Keith, Ralph Moyer and the late Jessie Lou, Mervin Moyer and Yvonne, and Iona Wenzel. Cherished grandmother of 8. Great-grandmother of 17. Survived by her brother David Grubb and by her sister-in-law Melba Grubb. Predeceased by her sisters Florence Meyer, Anne Ertel, Leona Lunz, infant Rita Grubb, Elizabeth Ertel, Theresa Doerr, and by her brothers Philip, Ralph and Joseph Grubb. Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Thursday, October 14th from 4 – 7 p.m. Due to Covid-19 protocols masks are required and social distancing must be respected on Funeral Home property. We encourage you to book a visitation time by either calling the Funeral Home or by visiting the death notice on the Funeral Home website and click “make a reservation” to confirm your attendance. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held. Friends and extended family are welcome to view the service on Saturday, October 16th at 10 a.m. by visiting the home page of McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home website or the McCulloch-Watson Facebook page. The video will remain posted for viewing afterwards. Interment at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery.
