Horrigan, Raymond (Age 99)
May 20, 2022 11:12 amRaymond Horrigan, in his 100th year passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, May 19, at his residence in Strathcona Long Term Care, Mount Forest. Predeceased by his parents Joseph Horrigan and Mary Lynett, and by his loving wife Theresa Bolen. Also predeceased by his eldest son Gary Joseph, his third eldest son David John and grandson Brenden Horrigan. Ray was the last of his generation in both his and his wife’s families. Ray will be dearly missed by his sons Carl and Patrick, daughters-in-law Ruth-Anne, Pauline and Diane, his 5 grand-daughters, and his 5 grand-boys. Ray had seven great-grandchildren, who he loved. Ray was looking forward to three more great grandchildren in the upcoming year. Visitation will be held at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest, on Monday, May 23, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 7:45 p.m. Please visit the funeral home website for instructions on how to enter the parking lot while Hwy. 89 is under construction. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Purification Roman Catholic Church, Mount Forest, on Tuesday, May 24, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. The family requests that all guests attending the visitation and/or Funeral Mass please wear a mask. If you are unable to attend the Mass in person, you are invited to view livestream by visiting the Funeral Homes Facebook page. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
