Cowan, Merv (Age 88, Harriston)

Merv Cowan of Harriston, passed away at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Tuesday, August 9th.  He was 88.  Loving husband of the late Kathylyne Marie Cowan.  Father of Cliff Cowan and Joli Erb-Cowan, Brian and Bonnie Cowan and Todd and Lidsay Cowan, all of Harriston.  Missed by his 9 grand and 2 great-grandchildren, sister Eleanor and Butch Detweiler, brother-in-law to Paul and Trish Madigan, many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by brothers Murray and Verdon Cowan and 9 sibling-in-laws.  A private family funeral service will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mount Forest.  Donations to the Alzheimer Society appreciated.
