Pearse, Shauna (Age 51, Plainfield, NH)
July 4, 2024 11:34 amIt is with heavy hearts that we share that Shauna Pearse, 51, passed away suddenly on June 23, 2024 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Shauna was the cherished wife of Erik Pearse, and loving mother of Andrew and Ryan.
Shauna was born on August 2, 1972 to Bill and Suzanne Andrew and grew up on her family’s farm in Lucknow, Ontario, Canada. She worked at the local swimming pool as a lifeguard through high school and college before receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Shauna spent her early career as a traveling labor and delivery nurse, working in many hospitals throughout the United States, including Texas, Hawaii, Los Angeles, and Boston. Her last travel assignment was at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and during her time there she met and married her husband, Erik. Most recently, she was a nurse on the vascular access team.
Shauna and Erik made their home in Plainfield, New Hampshire where they welcomed their two boys, Andrew in 2010 and Ryan in 2014. Shauna provided endless love to her family and was actively involved in her sons lives in every possible way, from cheering on the sidelines to providing quiet reassurance and support. She always encouraged them to pursue their many interests, including music, 4-H, basketball, soccer, fishing, skiing and baseball. She was a valued member of her community, often championing school fundraising events, and walking annually for the March of Dimes in honor of Andrew, their miracle baby.
Shauna loved being outside, whether walking, swimming, cross country skiing or in her garden where she always included a cherry tomato plant, because it is Ryan’s favorite. She often had a small collection of farm animals and pets at home, who benefited from her affection and patience. Her cats traveled with her around the country in her early career and were an important part of her family. She was a storyteller, and could brighten your day with a tale of anything from the wild animals in her backyard to the adventures of their daily family life. If she came to your home or event, it was always with food, and often with the makings of a fun new cocktail. Everyone around was touched by her warmth, generosity and love of life. We know that everyone who loved her will feel her presence as they come together to surround her husband and boys during this difficult time.
In addition to her parents and immediate family, her loved ones include her brothers Warren (Brianne) Andrew, Eric (Vanessa) Andrew all of Lucknow, Ontario; mother-in-law Cathy Pearse (Doug) of Lebanon, NH; sister-in-law Kristin LaFromboise (Brian) of Bethel, VT and close cousin Carolyn Isabelle (Aaron) of Plainfield, NH. Shauna was a loving aunt to Molly, Grace, Colin, Ella, William, Axel, Ivy, Brette, Foster and Archer, and was loved by her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Calling hours were held on June 28th from 5pm-7pm at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon, NH. Memorial services were held at First Congregational Church in Lebanon on Saturday, June 29th at 11:00am.
A celebration of life will also be held on August 3rd at the Andrew Dairy, 36207 Belgrave Rd, Lucknow, Ontario. Everyone is welcome any time after 2:00pm. There will be a short service at 4:00pm.
The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out in so many ways to support.
