Harkness, Jim (Age 87, Harriston)

Jim Harkness of Harriston passed away peacefully in his 88th year on November 16th, surrounded by loving family members.

Left to mourn is his loving wife of 65 years, Doreen Harkness. Devoted father of Alan Harkness & Frank Wu, Doug & Charlene Harkness, John Harkness & James Harkness and Wai Kin Chan. Fondly remembered by his 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister Mary Harkness and in-laws Doris Bell, Morris Langwisch, and Ross Langwisch.

A private family funeral service will be held at Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston with a celebration of Jim’s life to follow at the Harriston Legion on Wednesday, November 20th from 4 – 7 PM with words of remembrance at 6 PM.
