Maas, Hazel (Age 84, Hanover)
November 12, 2024 11:17 amHazel Patricia Maas, of Hanover, passed away suddenly at her home on Friday, November 8, 2024. She was 84.
Born in Guelph, Ontario on August 5, 1940 to the late Norman and Pearl (nee Alexander) Horton. Hazel will be remembered for the love she had for her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all. She enjoyed cards, playing Euchre the most and doing her word find puzzles.
Survived by children Connie (Don) Shiell, Patti (Ken) Bath and John Maas (friend Terry). Devoted grandmother of Candice (Curran) Welch, Christopher (Lauren) Shiell, Mason Bath, Andrea (Muhammad) Zeeshan, Lindsay Shiell and Casey Maas.Remembered by her siblings Joan Gerhardt, Robert (Lorriane) Horton, Carol Rossel and her in laws Helen Hoy, Donald (Iris) Maas, Elaine (Bill) Chalmers as well as her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her beloved husband Lawrence and brothers in law Lloyd Gerhardt, Keith Rossel, Howard Bryce and Bill Hoy.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 6-8pm where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 11:00 am. Pastor Jenn Brown officiating. Interment in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Neustadt.
