Van Herk, John (Age 89)

John Van Herk Sr. passed away peacefully at West Perth Village Nursing Home on Friday, January 3rd surrounded by family.

John is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dora, his children Jim & Fern, John & Cheryl, Don & Terri-Lynn and Jane & Paul, 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild in waiting. He is also survived by his sisters, Sister Wilhemina, Cathy & Jim and Liz & Joe and brothers Albert & Judy and Bernard. He is survived by his many in-laws.

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Mitchell on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Spring interment in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
