Winkels, Jan (Age 100, Chesley)

Jan “John” Winkels of Chesley, passed away with family by his side at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton on Thursday, February 20th in his 101st year.

Beloved husband of Doreen. Loving father of Luke, Elizabeth & Amal, Henry & Christina, Doreen & Peter, John & Karen, and Evert & JoAnne. Fondly remembered by 32 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Brother of Aaltje and brother-in-law of Bertha, Jannie, and Jenny & Hank. Remembered by Beverly, as well as by his many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley today from 5 – 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 11 – 11:45 a.m. A funeral service will follow at Ebenezer Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland, Chesley on Tuesday, February 25th at 12pm. Spring interment in Chesley Cemetery.
