Hopkins, Fred (Age 63, Elmwood)

Fred Hopkins, of Elmwood, passed away suddenly at his farm doing what he loved to do, caring for his beloved dairy herd, on Sunday, October 19th in his 64th year.

Beloved husband of Marian. Proud father of Eric Hopkins & Courtney, Christopher Hopkins & Kali, and Leanne & Luke Saare. Cherished Poppa of 6. Dear brother of Cheryl & Ken Nelson, Susan Spielmacher, and Darryl & Kim Hopkins. Son-in-law of Marilyn Walton and brother-in-law of David Walton & Lisa Steckly, and Susan & Stephen Schenk. Fred will be missed by his aunts, nieces and nephews, many cousins, friends and the farming community.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Sunday, October 26th from 1 – 4 and 6 – 9 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Fred’s life will be held at the Durham Community Centre, on Monday, October 27th at 2 pm. Interment at Durham Cemetery.
