Hobrink, Herman (Age 82)

Herman Hobrink passed away peacefully at Waterloo Regional Health Network @ Chicopee (formerly Freeport Hospital) on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in his 83^rd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Dini Hobrink. Lovingly remembered by Betty and Brian Armstrong, Bill Hobrink and Trish Ramer, and Melanie Hobrink. Cherished Opa of Caley and Devin Saatchi, Tanner Armstrong, Mykenna Armstrong, Connor Hobrink and his little pal Grover. Dearly missed by his brothers, sister, and their families in the Netherlands.

Herman never met a stranger and always had time for a good conversation and a few laughs. His many years spent working at Midwestern Regional Centre were some of the happiest of his life and always made for good stories. He had a great love for nature and photography, and his many paintings will be treasured by family and friends. Special thanks to all of Herman’s many caregivers over the past 10 years.

Herman and Dini walked together in their unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, and though his earthly body was tired, we know he is whole and rejoicing with his Saviour in Heaven. Not gone, but gone ahead. Till we meet again…

Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Herman’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
