Shaboozey\u2019s \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy)\u201d reached No. 1 on Billboard\u2019s Hot Country Songs chart for the 27th week.<\/p>\n
That matches the longest chart-topping run of the 2020s, a mark previously set by Gabby Barrett\u2019s rookie smash hit from 2020-21, \u201cI Hope.\u201d<\/p>\n
The two songs are tied for the third-longest reign at No. 1 since Hot Country Songs became a genre ranking back in 1958.<\/p>\n
Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line\u2019s \u201cMeant To Be\u201d ruled for a record 50 weeks starting in December of 2017, surpassing Sam Hunt\u2019s \u201cBody Like a Back Road,\u201d which led for 34 weeks beginning that February 2017.<\/p>\n
Coincidentally, all four of these songs also became crossover hits at both country and pop radio formats.<\/p>\n
\u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy)\u201d also ruled the Country Airplay chart for seven weeks beginning in August, becoming the longest No. 1 stay for an initial entry.<\/p>\n
The song also previously became the first track ever to reach the Top Five on Country Airplay, Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay, and Rhythmic Airplay charts.<\/p>\n
