Husband of the late Dorothy McIlroy. Father of Robert McIlroy and his wife Reverend Diane Hilpert-McIlroy of Nipigon, and Margaret Anderson of Palmerston. Grandfather of Lee Anne McIlroy, Bradley McIlroy, Crystal Anderson, Trevor and Pamela Hilpert, Trent and Tracy Hilpert, and Dallas and Steve Hall, and great-grandfather of Tyler and Kyle Sage, Devlin Anderson, Kaileigh, Connor, and McKenna Hilpert, Avery, Blythe, and Shea Hilpert, and Sloan and Aspen Hilpert. Remembered also by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Anna (Hood) McIlroy, sisters Nora Smith, Marguerite Rapp, Melissa Elliott, Thelma Ellison, and by his brothers Vernon McIlroy and Alvin McIlroy.<br \/>\nVisitation will be held at the Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church on Wednesday, from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM. Interment in Palmerston Cemetery, Palmerston. Memorial donations to Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church or the Gideon\u2019s would be appreciated.
