Survived by husband Donald Allen of RR#1 Elmwood. Loved mother of Carol and Jeff Holtham of Waterloo and David and Tanya Allen of Hanover. Special grandmother of Dominic, Emma and Aaron. Fondly remembered by her brothers Robert Metzger of Elmwood, Donald Metzger of Nanton, AB, Dennis Metzger of Owen Sound, sisters Verna and Harry Philipp of Dundas,\u00a0 Linda Metzger of Meaford, and Barbara and Brad Leifso of Walkerton. Ruth always held a special place in her heart for Jenny Russwurm as she was raised by her throughout her life. Predeceased by brothers Dale, Larry and sister Brenda.<\/p>\n<p>To honour her wishes, a Private Family Interment Service was held at St. John&#8217;s Lutheran Cemetery- Elmwood. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 11:00 am, at St. John&#8217;s Lutheran Church &#8211; Elmwood with a time to share memories to commence after the service.
