Beloved wife of the late Leland \u201cLee\u201d Vance who predeceased her in 2006. Predeceased by parents Alfred and Ethel (n\u00e9e Dymant) Libby and her brother Russell Libby. Thora and her husband Leland owned and operated Vance&#8217;s Pharmacy in Wingham up until their retirement. Both Mr and Mrs Vance were members of Wingham United Church. They were dearly loved in the community by many friends and former employees, who were their family. Thora will be especially missed by Ernie Cook \u201cSonny Jim\u201d and partner of Barbara von der Gonna of Wingham and Chrissy Semple of Newmarket.<\/span><br \/>\nVisitation will be held at Wingham United Church on Saturday, from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Reverend Colin Snyder officiating. Interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery. A<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">rrangements entrusted to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mcburneyfuneralhome.com\/\"><b>McBurney Funeral Home<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Wingham.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nMemorial donations to Gilbert Hall, Wingham or the Wingham United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note change of time in visitation and service.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Thora Patricia VANCE of Wingham, on Tuesday at the age of 103.
