Her eldest daughter Jessica and husband Craig Ernewein MacKenzie of Saugeen Shores. Her middle daughter Kayla and husband Kevin McLelland of Paisley. Her youngest daughter Kaitlin MacKenzie of Paisley, and only grandbaby Lena McLelland. She will be dearly missed by her mother Grace McKeeman and siblings Patrick, Terry and baby sister Dale. Her niece Sonja and nephew Cody. Wendy will be remembered fondly by her many in laws, nieces and nephews of the MacKenzie Clan. Wendy is predeceased by her father Robert McKeeman, father in law Murray MacKenzie, brother in law Gordon MacKenzie and sister in law Susan MacKenzie. Wendy was a strong and compassionate woman always working hard but playing even harder. She was raised a tried and true Bruce County girl, having worked many years on the family farm(s) raising up cattle, hogs and chickens, putting in hay year after year and endless rows of fencing. Wendy also worked hard to become a certified buyer analyst and paving a career for herself at AECL and later taking a position with Bruce Power. But playing hard for Wendy meant her four-legged loves as she was an avid horse lover through and through. Many years and many memories with her loving quarter horses meant her “nags” stood equal alongside the girls and Murray. Her countless rides brought incredible joy to her, a sense of freeing many long to encounter. In her earlier years Wendy was a Judo champion, a pageant contestant as well as a motorcycle enthusiast before she settled down and had her three girls.

If her beautiful jewelry and Irish rebellion didn’t display it enough it was always well known that Wendy took great pride in her Irish heritage. Having taken the most memorable trip to Ireland just a few short years ago, indulging in all the scenery, food, and boutique shops one of which she found the most stunning Celtic dress which she would later be surprised with. It was an experience she had dreamt of all her life. Wendy wasn’t your average woman she could make something useful out of nothing, make a harsh stain come clean, prepare a delicious homecooked meal at a moment’s notice, sew a patch and stitch leather and she was always a backyard vet tending to all animals whom needed any form of healing. There wasn’t much she couldn’t tackle. Above all Wendy’s greatest accomplishment was her family. Although her active life stretched her thin at times; as a wife, a mother, a Grammy and a friend she was never short of kind words, encouragement or a song and dance in the kitchen to keep her family smiling. May this always be the memory of her beautiful soul.

A celebration of Wendy’s life will be held Sunday October 27th 2019 from 2 until 6 PM at the Underwood Community Centre located 1240 Concession 6, Tiverton, Ontario N0G 2T0. Gathering will commence at 2 PM with a service beginning at 3 PM.
