Leroy grew up on a farm in Missouri and went to a one room school.\u00a0 \u00a0After high school, he graduated from the University of Missouri in Animal Husbandry and Journalism.\u00a0 He also achieved a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.<\/p>\n
He served in Korea as a special agent, U.S. Army Counter-Intelligence Corps.<\/p>\n
Leroy says there are only four things he ever wanted to do; sing, sell, write and raise livestock.\u00a0 He is living his dream.<\/p>\n
He wrote, “Auctioneer”, and it became a smash number one hit.\u00a0 He joined Ozark Jubilee, and the Grand Ole Opry.\u00a0 He had another million seller with, “Walk on By”.\u00a0 He is the only Country performer to open a show for Marilyn Monroe.\u00a0 He has not missed a performance in over five decades.<\/p>\n
He is an author, raises Arabian mules, and is a member of the Auctioneering Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n
