{"id":75224,"date":"2020-06-16T12:05:39","date_gmt":"2020-06-16T16:05:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cknxam\/?p=75224"},"modified":"2020-06-17T11:15:44","modified_gmt":"2020-06-17T15:15:44","slug":"stright-cecil-age-67-calgary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cknxam\/obituaries\/2020\/06\/stright-cecil-age-67-calgary\/","title":{"rendered":"Stright, Cecil (Age 67, Goderich)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-75225 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.briwebapp.net\/2020\/06\/ce51f47b-dad-pic-obit.jpg\" alt=\"Cecil \u201cJohn\u201d Stright (Age 67, Calgary)\" width=\"108\" height=\"150\" \/>Cecil \u201cJohn\u201d Stright, 67, at home with his loving family by his side, peacefully entered his Lords presence on Saturday, June 13<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, 2020.\u00a0 As the sun-kissed the morning sky Jesus took his hand and God kissed his face.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">John was a loving husband and will be missed deeply by his beloved wife Virginia (Redmond), his best friend and love of his life with whom he shared 49 wonderful years together.\u00a0 John was the cherished father of Cara (Jeff) Stoll; Colleen (Rick) Vandewalle and Sheila Stright.\u00a0 He was a devoted grandfather to Mackenzie (Alannah), Shae Lynn and Liam Stoll; Reagan, Ryan and Darren Vandewalle; and Alexis and Nicholas Sprung. He was also the adored, great grandfather of Lena Cecchini and Miller Stoll.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">John was born in Calgary, Alberta to Garnet and Betty Stright and was the oldest of three boys.\u00a0 He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by both his parents and his brothers Larry (Bonnie) and Rick (Debra) Stright.\u00a0 His loss is also deeply felt by his brother and sister in-laws Diane (John) Houston, John (Gayle) Redmond, Mark (Pat) Redmond, Janice (Bob) Ujimoto, Jim (Jenny) Redmond, Karen Redmond, Ben Vandiepenbeek, Elizabeth (Brent) Wilson, Maureen (Randy) Redmond, Christine (Lorne) Munn.\u00a0 John was pre-deceased by in-laws John and Theresa Redmond, Michael Redmond, Mary Anne Vandiepenbeek, and Cynthia Andrews. John will also be fondly remembered and missed by his many special nieces and nephews and his extended family.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Faith and family meant everything to John, he will be remembered for his unshakable faith in Jesus Christ which he endeavoured to share with those around him.\u00a0 Those who knew John knew he was a kind, humble man and a hard worker, he was always generous with his time and talents, offering help to anyone in need, always putting others ahead of himself.\u00a0 The man who has taken care of so much and has been so much too so many is now taken care of and comforted by Gods loving embrace.
