It is with great sadness and much love that we announce the passing of our beloved Patricia Jean (Brown) Stevenson-Thompson on July 20, 2020, in her 77th year, in her home in Clifford, Ontario, with her devoted husband Robert by her side.<\/p>\n
Patti was the beloved wife of Robert Thompson, mother of Jennifer Stevenson (Robert), and Amy Richards (Craig), and beloved Grandma\/Gaga of Lowell, Owen, and Avery.\u00a0 Sister of Laurie Dart (Colin), and sister-in-law of Heather Whitehead. Patti was predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Aileen Brown, and brother Peter Brown.\u00a0 She will also be greatly missed by her nieces, nephew, cousin, extended Brown & Thompson families, many friends, and neighbours.\u00a0 We will all remember her smile, her warmth, and her love for life, family and friends.<\/p>\n
Patti graduated from the University of Toronto as a Physio and Occupational Therapist and worked in a variety of settings over the years (hospital, clinic and home care).\u00a0 Patti made a difference in the lives of the many clients she treated and healed. Patti loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends. Patti loved her gardens, especially her roses. She was an avid reader, enjoyed her walks, and playing multiple word games with friends online. She and Bob took every opportunity to visit her children and grandchildren in Vancouver.\u00a0 They also enjoyed many wonderful local holidays and European adventures over the years with their \u201cbike group\u201d, Patti\u2019s dear, long-time friends.<\/p>\n
Patti\u2019s home care work came full circle in her final days when she was supported by so many loving people in her home. \u2018Team Patti\u2019 was always by her side, coordinated by the local LHIN, the caring nurses and staff of Bayshore Palliative team, Right at Home, and Care Partners.<\/p>\n
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks you to consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society. Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Tuesday, July 28th<\/sup>\u00a0from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m.\u00a0 Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visitors must schedule a time by selecting RSVP under the “Service Details” on Patti\u2019s page on the funeral home website, or by calling the funeral home at 519-338-2441. Everyone attending must wear a mask. A private family funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Doug Bott officiating.\u00a0 Interment in Clifford Cemetery.<\/p>\n
