{"id":76478,"date":"2020-09-08T08:45:32","date_gmt":"2020-09-08T12:45:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cknxam\/?p=76478"},"modified":"2020-09-08T05:56:27","modified_gmt":"2020-09-08T09:56:27","slug":"chris-stapleton-tackles-pandemic-by-mountain-biking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cknxam\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2020\/09\/chris-stapleton-tackles-pandemic-by-mountain-biking\/","title":{"rendered":"Chris Stapleton Tackles Pandemic By Mountain Biking"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zDm8bvgr9YU\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Chris Stapleton was recently promoting his upcoming album &#8220;Starting Over&#8221; and he was asked if he has any doubts about releasing it in the middle of a pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>He said everybody has doubts these days about everything, and if they tell you they haven&#8217;t reached a breaking point, they&#8217;re lying.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s been coping with it all by riding his mountain bike in the woods.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;It&#8217;s helped tremendously in a &#8216;centering&#8217; kind of way.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>One of the songs is called, &#8220;Watch You Burn&#8221; and he wrote it after the Route 91 shooting.<\/p>\n<p>It opens with the lyrics, &#8220;Only a coward would pick up a gun, and shoot up a crowd trying to have fun.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He talked about the Black Lives Matter movement, and how it&#8217;s turned his reality upside down.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;You know, I thought we were living in a different country. And that&#8217;s 100% real. I feel like the country that I thought that we were living in was a myth. Do I think Black lives matter? Absolutely. I don&#8217;t know how you could think they don&#8217;t. We all have a lot of work to do, as individuals and as a society.
