Morley Edward Fischer, of Mildmay, passed away peacefully at the Hanover<\/span>
\n<\/span>Care Centre on Thursday, September 10, 2020. He was 85 years old.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>He is survived by his wife Lorraine (Weber) Fischer. They would have been<\/span>
\n<\/span>married 66 years on September 11, 2020.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Loving father of Anna Lou Strauss of Kitchener, Debbie (Bruce) Kamrath of<\/span>
\n<\/span>Kincardine, Wayne, Connie (Paul) Bohnert, Laurie (Howard) Bester, Karen<\/span>
\n<\/span>(Simon) Huber, Mike (Elaine) and Rhonda, all of Mildmay.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Cherished grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Brother of Marilyn Fischer of Walkerton.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>He will be fondly remembered by the Weber family and many nieces and<\/span>
\n<\/span>nephews.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Predeceased by his parents Edward and Colette Fischer, parents-in-law Joseph<\/span>
\n<\/span>and Josephine Weber, son-in-law Dan (Boonie) Strauss and great-grandson<\/span>
\n<\/span>Patrick Strauss.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Morley was a devoted employee of Gay Lea for 42 years. He was a<\/span>
\n<\/span>long-standing member of the Mildmay-Carrick Firefighters and the Mildmay<\/span>
\n<\/span>Agricultural Society. An avid supporter of his community, he was named<\/span>
\n<\/span>Citizen of the Year in 2016.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Morley\u2019s favourite times were spent surrounded by family playing marbles and<\/span>
\n<\/span>cards.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Visitation will be held at the Greg Roberts Funeral Home on Sunday,<\/span>
\n<\/span>September 13, 2020 from 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm.\u00a0 A private family mass will be<\/span>
\n<\/span>held at Immaculate Conception Church in Formosa on Monday, September 14,<\/span>
\n<\/span>2020 at 11:00 am.\u00a0 Father Mike Anderson officiating.\u00a0 Interment at Sacred<\/span>
\n<\/span>Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Mildmay.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the<\/span>
\n<\/span>Mildmay-Carrick Fire Department (Cheques payable to the Municipality of<\/span>
