{"id":76948,"date":"2020-10-01T14:21:30","date_gmt":"2020-10-01T18:21:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cknxam\/?p=76948"},"modified":"2020-10-02T12:27:18","modified_gmt":"2020-10-02T16:27:18","slug":"letitia-jeanne-age-78-brussels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cknxam\/obituaries\/2020\/10\/letitia-jeanne-age-78-brussels\/","title":{"rendered":"Kirkby, Jeanne (Age 78, Brussels)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-76949 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.briwebapp.net\/2020\/10\/c943b085-jeanne-kirkby.jpg\" alt=\"Letitia, Jeanne (Age 78, Brussels)\" \/>Mrs. Jeanne Letitia Kirkby nee Perrie<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passed away peacefully on September 29<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at Huronlea Home in Brussels in her 79<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beloved wife to the Late Douglas Kirkby (1993).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Special friend to John Gaunt (2020).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Loving mother to Paul (Thu Van) Kirkby of Walton, and the Late Jennifer Elaine Kirkby (1973).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grandma to Sean and Melanie Kirkby.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sister to David (Joan) Perrie, John (Mary) Perrie, Will (Chi) Perrie, Leslie Perrie and the Late Margaret Perrie (1971).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Predeceased by her parents John and Clara Perrie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Missed by furry friend Sophie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jeanne Kirkby was a kind, organized, intelligent, common sense mother and grandmother. Family was very important to Jeanne she was always supportive and gave good advice no matter what the problem. She was very involved in her grandkids lives pushing them to be better, to get an education and was always a good role model. She was a strong person with a positive outlook on everything. Jeanne loved to listen to classical music in her special chair and read her books. She played the piano and loved music. Jeanne was a serious card player especially with Bridge and offered to teach the grandkids how to play every time she saw them. Jeanne always had a least 2 dogs around to keep her company on her walks in the back garden. She loved to travel and saw a lot of the world when she was able. She was active in her community and church and will be missed by both.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A graveside funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rd<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at 11 am at the Brussels Cemetery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In lieu of flowers or as expressions of sympathy donations to the MS Society or Melville Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to Covid-19 restrictions please wear a mask and respect social distancing.
