Cherished grandpa of JD &amp; Kate Shiell, Matt Shiell &amp; Abbie, Ryan Shiell, Shaelin Green, Shelby Green and Spencer Green &amp; Lexie. Great-grandpa of Tatum Shiell.\u00a0 Dear brother of Rhonda Green &amp; Fred de Boer and Terry &amp; Lisa Green and brother-in-law of Aileen Wilkinson.\u00a0 John will be lovingly remembered by his nieces Ann, Marilyn, Tara, Darcy and Keri as well as Special family\u00a0Jake &amp; Stephanie Eishenhofer. Predeceased by his parents Cecil &amp; Florence Green and brother-in-law Ken Wilkinson.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">John was born in Collingwood on August 23, 1943.\u00a0He married the love of his life, \u2018his Evi,\u2019 the former Arlene Wilkinson on February 23<sup>rd<\/sup>, 1963.\u00a0John and Arlene bought the butcher shop from Percy &amp; Jean Deyell in 1971 and \u201csemi-retired\u201d in 2005.\u00a0He was an innovator in the agriculture and meat industry serving the needs of\u00a0Wingham and area for over 30 years. John still played an essential role in Green\u2019s Meat Market even after his retirement. However, when he was not working, he and Arlene loved to travel and camp. His love for his family and his farm, the place where he enjoyed his bush, horses and woodworking was undeniable. John was a Jack of all trades, he was loving, kind, hard-working, and a devoted business man, husband, dad and grandpa. There will never be a day that goes by that he is not thought of with fondness and dearly missed by all who knew him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to COVID19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at McBurney Funeral Home on Tuesday.
