{"id":83694,"date":"2021-11-04T19:00:16","date_gmt":"2021-11-04T23:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cknxam\/?p=83694"},"modified":"2021-11-04T11:13:07","modified_gmt":"2021-11-04T15:13:07","slug":"eric-church-has-covid-sniffing-dogs-on-his-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cknxam\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2021\/11\/eric-church-has-covid-sniffing-dogs-on-his-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"Eric Church Has Covid-Sniffing Dogs On His Tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eric Church has a couple of very loyal, and uniquely talented employees on his Gather Again Tour.<\/p>\n<p>Their names are Alex and Timmy and they&#8217;re <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/how-does-eric-church-keep-touring-in-the-pandemic-with-a-one-of-a-kind-concert-bubble-11635606001\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COVID-sniffing dogs from a company called Bio Detection K9<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t some experiment, the dogs have a 99% &#8220;detection proficiency,&#8221; and it only takes about 30 seconds to size somebody up.<\/p>\n<p>They check Eric&#8217;s band and crew before every show, and if the person doesn&#8217;t pass, they have to take a test.<\/p>\n<p>Eric&#8217;s tour manager says they&#8217;ve &#8220;probably saved the tour.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A few weeks ago a member of his band had COVID and early detection helped minimize that.<\/p>\n<p>Other concert tours are thinking about hiring the dogs.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a fun tie-in. Eric shared a clip of his crew members counting off what it takes to put on the tour.
