Tim McGraw has always had a knack for picking emotional songs that really strike a chord with people, like \u201cLive Like You Were Dying,\u201d \u201cDon\u2019t Take the Girl\u201d and \u201cHumble and Kind.\u201d<\/p>\n
When it comes to his song selection process and how he\u2019s able to consistently find those types of songs.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverybody find emotions in different ways. I mean, there are a lot of great artists who had great lives growin\u2019 up and they can make you feel anything you wanna feel. They\u2019re fantastic,. For me, it all comes from, I guess, a piece of my soul. Every time I sing a song I feel like I\u2019m tearing out a piece of my soul, and I want it to feel that way. I don\u2019t try to over-sing anything because I\u2019m just not that kind of singer. I just try to tell you how I feel. And I\u2019ll tell you the most important thing I\u2019ve learned through loving music and listening to the radio a lot is, you can tell somebody how you feel, but when you can tell somebody how they feel, and they didn\u2019t know they felt that way until they heard it in a song or they felt it, I think that\u2019s when there\u2019s something really special. And I\u2019ve been fortunate enough that I\u2019ve had some really great songs in my career that have allowed me to find that emotional well.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
