Alex was the loving father of Ian and Ruth Lynne, Aird, Roger, Stephen and Mary, Trevor, Gavin and Ferne, Jane McCombie, and Jillian and Paul Hodgson. Alex will be remembered by his 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Alex was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Iona in 2017, his sisters\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dorothy and Helen, his brothers Robert and James, and parents Robert and Mary McCombie.
