Shirley was born on October 23, 1926 in Stratford. She was the wife of the late Jack McGowan and dear friend of the late Alec Yule. She will always be cherished and remembered as a strong, loving mother by her children Edith McGowan and Newman Parrott, Joan and Dennis Reay, Edward McGowan and Diane, George McGowan and Lynda, Helen Hopkins and Don Shane, and Jean McGowan.\u00a0 Proud grama of 13. Great grama to 6, and great-great-grama to 4.\u00a0 Predeceased by her son-in-law Brad Hopkins, her parents George and Marguerite Tomlin, her brothers Edward \u201cTed\u201d, Jack, Glenn, and Ross and special sister-in-law Ilene Tomlin, Laura and Harry Hill, and Bob and Audrey McGowan.
