Caitlin Clark was just drafted #1 in the WNBA draft on Monday night after a historic college career at Iowa.<\/p>\n
She might be the biggest name in any sport right now, but even she was a bit starstruck when they showed her a video Luke Combs made for her.<\/p>\n
Right after she got drafted, they showed her backstage standing next to a video monitor and then Luke popped up with an encouraging message.<\/p>\n
“I just want to say congratulations on being the #1 pick in the WNBA draft. That’s incredible. I can speak for everybody all across the United States and the world probably . . . that we’ve enjoyed watching you these past couple years.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
He ended it by congratulating her again and saying, quote, “You earned it. Can’t wait to see you out there.”<\/p>\n
Caitlin turned with a big smile and said,<\/p>\n
“Luke Combs! That’s my favorite artist of all-time . . . He’s a big women’s basketball fan, so I appreciate him. That’s amazing, I was not expecting that.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
In the history of collegiate basketball, Caitlin has scored more points than any man or woman EVER, and she still blushed a bit at seeing Luke Combs.<\/p>\n
