Tennessee has become the first state in the United States to pass legislation to protect musicians from artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n
The bill is called the Ensuring Likeness Voice and Image Security Act, or the ELVIS Act.<\/p>\n
It prohibits anyone from using A.I. to mimic an artist’s voice without their permission.<\/p>\n
It takes effect on July 1st. Governor Bill Lee signed it inside the Nashville honky tonk<\/p>\n
Robert’s Western World, accompanied by Chris Janson and Luke Bryan, who called it, quote, “an amazing precedent.”<\/p>\n
