Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health is hosting an upcoming webinar series event on Tuesday, October 20th, 2026, from 12 – 1 PM ET via ZOOM on “Rural Women's Cancer Risk, Screening and Community Supports.” This session will explore the updated cancer screening guidelines, how cancer care is facilitated in rural areas, and how we can support rural women.

For this discussion, we welcome several speakers.

Agnes Waanders is a Nurse Practitioner at the Clinton Family Health Team, providing primary care among a multidisciplinary team of healthcare practitioners.

Anita Snobelem is a town councilor in Ashfield-Colbourne-Wawanosh. She moved to Goderich about 12 years ago after a career in community pharmacy, which in later years, led to owning a successful fashion boutique that also catered to post-mastectomy patients for prosthesis fittings.

Colleen Waanders is the Director, Cancer Care & Ambulatory Services Brightshores Health System. Her work is in health system planning, program development, and quality improvement.
