JORDAN PEELE\u2019S FOURTH MOVIE IN THE WORKS<\/strong> _ <\/span>Jordan Peele<\/span><\/a> won\u2019t have one but two movies coming out in 2024: an untitled horror thriller on September 27 from his <\/span>Monkeypaw<\/span><\/a> Productions, and another coming out on Christmas Day that year. To be more specific, while the former is from his production company, the latter is being directed by the Oscar winner.<\/span><\/p>\n

JULIANNE HOUGH REPLACES TYRA BANKS ON DANCING WITH THE STARS<\/strong> _ Julianne Hough will replace Tyra Banks as co-host of Dancing With the Stars for Season 32, joining returning co-host Alfonso Ribeiro and judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough. Hough is a veteran of the show, having won Seasons 4 and 5 as a pro dancer and served as a judge from 2014-2017 and as a guest judge in 2021. She is also an actress, producer, and co-owner of Fresh Vine Wine. The show will return this fall on Disney+.<\/span><\/p>\n

MICHAEL JORDAN HAD JUST ONE REQUEST OF BEN AFFLECK WHEN IT CAME TO MAKING AIR<\/strong> _ Be Affleck was able to get Michael Jordan\u2019s blessing before filming Air, the story of Nike\u2019s efforts to sign the legendary shooting guard to a sneaker deal before he entered the NBA. At the film\u2019s premiere at South By Southwest, Affleck \u2014 who also stars in the film as Nike founder Phil Knight \u2014 revealed the lone request that Jordan had of him when it came to making Air: cast Academy Award winner Viola Davis as his mother Deloris Jordan.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026 Affleck said: \u201c[Michael Jordan] said, \u2018None of this would have ever happened without my mother.\u2019 I said, \u2018Who would you like to play your mom?\u2019 He said, \u2018Well, it has to be Viola Davis.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026 Air comes to theaters April 5 and stars Affleck, Davis, Matt Damon, Jason Bateman, Chris Tucker and Marlon Wayans.<\/span><\/p>\n

NEW JOHN MULANEY STAND-UP SPECIAL COMING TO NETFLIX IN APRIL<\/strong> _ John Mulaney is headed back to Netflix. The comedian will return to the streamer next month with a brand new stand-up special titled John Mulaney: Baby J. Mulaney has a well-established relationship with Netflix, having headlined two other stand-up specials there.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026 This new stand-up special promises to feature material concerning Mulaney\u2019s life, which has undergone a shift over the last few years \u2014 he went through a divorce, go sober from his addictions, and had a child with partner Olivia Munn.<\/span><\/p>\n

DISNEY+ IS REBOOTING CLASSIC WESTERN ZORRO<\/strong> _ The world\u2019s greatest swordsman is returning to the small screen. Zorro, the legend of the masked vigilante who fights corruption in Spanish California, is getting the reboot treatment at Disney+, and the series producer is an Emmy-winning Game of Thrones veteran.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026 The new series, starring Wilmer Valderrama (aka Fez from That \u201970s Show), is billed as a reboot of Disney\u2019s classic Zorro TV show, which aired from 1957 to 1959.<\/span><\/p>\n

GWYNETH PALTROW WILL TAKE STAND<\/strong> _ Gwyneth Paltrow will testify in her trial over a ski crash that occurred in 2016, in which she is being sued for a \u201chit-and-run\u201d incident by Utah resident Terry Sanderson. Sanderson claims Paltrow collided with him while skiing down the mountain at Deer Valley Resort, causing him to suffer a concussion and broken ribs. Paltrow filed a countersuit against Sanderson, accusing him of causing the collision.
