It was a tough week for singing competition shows. Kaya Stewart<\/strong>, daughter of The Eurythmics Dave Stewart<\/strong> left American Idol<\/strong> due to illness…just one day after a different contender, Sara Beth Liebe<\/strong>, left the show to return home to be with her kids. And on The Voice<\/strong>, contestant Alex Whalen<\/strong> left the competition for ‘personal reasons.’<\/p>\n

In theatres today, Ben Affleck<\/strong> directs and stars in the movie ‘Air’<\/strong>, about Nike<\/strong> basketball expert Sonny Vaccaro<\/strong> \u2014 played by Matt Damon<\/strong> \u2014 who pushed the company to design a shoe around the NBA<\/strong>‘s then-rookie Michael Jordan<\/strong>. It also stars Viola Davis, Jason Bateman<\/strong>, and others… and speaking of Ben and Matt, in the new Dunkin\u2019 Donuts<\/strong> commercial, Ben Affleck gets mistaken for Matt Damon.<\/p>\n

The first trailer for the highly anticipated live-action ‘Barbie’ movie<\/strong> has been released, featuring Margot Robbie<\/strong> in the title role and Ryan Gosling<\/strong> as Ken<\/strong>. That hits theaters on July 21… And the second trailer for ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’<\/strong> is out. Look for that one in theatres June 2nd<\/p>\n

Disney<\/strong> has revealed a quick teaser trailer for the next new Muppets series, this one titled The Muppets Mayhem<\/strong>, streaming on Disney+ starting May 10th.<\/p>\n

Harry Styles<\/strong> revealed that he declined the opportunity to play Prince Eric<\/strong> in Disney\u2019s ‘The Little Mermaid’<\/strong> remake. He says he prefers to act in darker films and non-musicals.<\/p>\n

In other headlines, Prince Harry<\/strong> reportedly tried to visit his dad while in the U.K. for his trial, but apparently the King<\/strong> was \u201ctoo busy.\u201d<\/p>\n
