At the Golden Globes<\/strong> last night, Adrian Brody<\/strong> won\u200b Best Actor for “The Brutalist”<\/strong> and the film won Best Motion Picture, Drama. In his speech after winning best director, Brady Corbet also acknowledged Aubrey Plaza<\/strong>, who missed the ceremony due to the sudden death of her husband, film maker Jeff Baen\u200ba<\/strong>\u200b, over the weekend, from what police \u200bare saying was suicide.<\/p>\n

Other winners include Demi Moore<\/strong> as Best Actress for \u201cThe Substance,\u201d<\/strong> Sebastian Stan<\/strong> as Supporting Actor in \u201cA Different Man\u201d<\/strong> and the Selena Gomez musical \u201cEmilia Perez\u201d<\/strong> which picked up a few awards\u200b, including \u200bBest \u200bSong and \u200bBest Supporting Actress for Zoe Saldana<\/strong>. The Globe for \u200bCinematic and \u200bBox-office \u200bAchievement went to \u201cWicked.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nothing new in theatres over the weekend, but the King of the box office<\/strong> in its third weekend was \u201cMufasa: The Lion King\u201d<\/strong> earning $23.8 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. Paramount\u2019s \u201cSonic the Hedgehog 3\u201d<\/strong> wasn\u2019t far behind with more than $21 Million. And \u201cNosferatu\u201d<\/strong> was in third. “Moana 2” and “Wicked” round out the top 5.<\/p>\n

Michael J. Fox<\/strong> received the Presidential Medal of Freedom<\/strong> from president Joe Biden for his activism and contributions to Parkinson’s research. Other notable recipients included Hilary Clinton, Bono, Magic Johnson and conservationist Jane Goodall<\/strong>, along with Denzel Washington<\/strong> for his role as a national spokesman for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.<\/p>\n

And while Zendaya<\/strong> was once again \u200bkilling it on the red carpet at The Golden Globes, the internet was all in a tizzy because they saw a big sparkly ring on her left hand ring finger. That said, she has been known to wear a ring on that finger, so it’s probably nothing.
