And the 50th anniversary rerelease of Steven Spielberg’s \u201cJaws\u201d<\/strong> also made a splash, taking a little bite out of the box office for second place. \u201cCaught Stealing,\u201d<\/strong> starring Austin Butler<\/strong> only managed a third place finish in its debut weekend.<\/p>\n

Dwayne Johnson<\/strong> transforms into UFC fighter Mark Kerr in \u201cThe Smashing Machine,\u201d<\/strong> which had its world premiere Monday at the Venice Film Festival<\/strong>. And Venice\u2019s artistic director Alberto Barbera said he wouldn\u2019t be surprised to see Johnson, and Emily Blunt<\/strong> — who plays Kerr\u2019s wife — among the Oscar nominees next year.<\/p>\n

Emma Stone<\/strong> said in an interview during the Venice International Film Festival that she believes in aliens. It was in the context of her upcoming film “Bugonia.”<\/strong> She plays a powerful CEO who becomes the target of two conspiracy-obsessed men who are convinced that she\u2019s an alien.<\/p>\n

Canadian actor Graham Greene<\/strong>, perhaps best known for his role as “Kicking Bird” in 1989’s ‘Dances With Wolves’,<\/strong> passed away yesterday in Stratford after a lengthy illness. He had many TV and film credits including Northern Exposure, Longmire, Reservation Dogs, Riverdale, Goliath with Billy bob Thornton, The Red Green Show and The Last of Us… and his movies also included the Twilight movies. He was 73.<\/p>\n

A major Saturday Night Live<\/strong> cast shakeup is underway ahead of the upcoming 51st season. Most notably, Heidi Gardner, the longest-serving female cast member as of last season, is leaving after 8 years.<\/p>\n
