In recognition of Small Business Month, businesses who have opened their doors within the past year will be showcased.
Come out for networking, appetizers and prizes. $5 admission at the door.
The CK Works Community Job Fair is next Tuesday at the John D. Bradley Centre from 2-7.
Over 40 employers hiring from a variety of sectors, with possible on-the-spot interviews will be on location.

Recreational marijuana is now legal all over Canada.
As of 12:01AM, adults are allowed to carry and share up to 30 grams of legal marijuana in public. You are also allowed to cultivate up to four plants in their households and make products such as edibles for personal use.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has issued a 72-hour strike notice to Canada Post and said a strike will begin on October 22nd for both urban and rural workers if a deal is not reached.
The national postal service said in the event of a rotating strike, Canada Post will remain open for business and will continue to operate. Customers may experience some minor delays.
Apple redesigned their bagel emoji after iPhone users complained it did not contain cream cheese.
The old Emoji just showed a sliced Bagel while the new one shows a sliced bagel with cream cheese.
Apple released a statement saying; “The new bagel with cream cheese filling certainly does look tastier in the way that it’s ready to eat. No-one eats a bagel without some kind of spread or filling.”
