David’s Bridal filed for bankruptcy yesterday. The company hopes to reduce its debt by more than $400 million and emerge by mid-January so the bankruptcy won’t interfere with peak wedding season.

There are more than 300 stores across North America, 11 in Canada.

Customer service reps spent yesterday assuring worried clients that it was “100 per cent business as usual.” Every customer who has a current order with David’s Bridal has received an email confirming the status of her order, tracking information and expected delivery date.


The L.A. Rams beat the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, 54-to-51. It was the highest scoring game in Monday Night Football history, and the third highest scoring NFL game ever.

The Chiefs also became the first team ever to score 50 or more points and not win. Both teams went into it with 9-and-1 records.

The Rams are the first team to 10 wins this season.


The Santa World Championships are taking place in Switzerland this week.

Events include a chimney climb, a snowmobile race and sking challenges. Hundreds of Santa’s are expected to compete in the games.
