Sesame Street has its first homeless character. It’s Lily, the pink Muppet with the red hair, who first joined the show in 2011.
In an online clip, Lily gets sad when all her classmates leave to go back to their homes. She says, “I miss our apartment, and now we don’t have our own place to live. And sometimes I wonder if we’ll ever have our own home again.”
The show admits that it’s a hard situation, but tries to teach Lily to think of home as where the love is. For now, Lily’s storyline won’t be featured on TV, only in online videos.
A 102-year-old great-grandmother just became the world’s oldest skydiver when she jumped out of a plane in Australia.
She successfully completed the jump from 14,000 feet.
Her first skydive was to mark her 100th birthday in 2016, but organisers claimed it was Sunday’s successful tandem dive at the age of 102 years and 194 days that earned her a place in the history books.
