Gillette released an ad encouraging men to do better in the #MeToo era.

Not everyone is down with it. “Hey let’s tell 99% of our customer base that they are the worst people ever and they’ve been horrible people forever and they need to change and we don’t want them as customers unless they change. Great idea!” wrote one user.

A #BoycottGillette hashtag was even started on Twitter, while 128,000 users on YouTube disliked the commercial (in comparison to the 13,000 users who liked it.)

The company revealed that it would be donating $1 million per year for the next three years to non-profit organizations aimed at bettering men of all ages.

There’s a “sound installation” somewhere in the Namib desert, playing Toto’s – Africa on a loop and the artist who put it there says it’ll continue, forever.

To ensure that, he equipped it with solar-powered batteries.

He says, “[I] wanted to pay the song the ultimate homage and physically exhibit ‘Africa’ in Africa. Some [Namibians] love it, and some say it’s probably the worst sound installation ever. I think that’s a great compliment.” He hopes it’ll continue playing for another 55 million years.
