The monthly Business After Hours is tonight at The Shore Bar & Grill (inside Links of Kent) sponsored by the C-K Workforce Planning Board.

Business After Hours will now be from 5-6:30.

Networking, appetizers and prizes up for grabs tonight.


Tomorrow is the United Way Touchdown breakfast at the Links of Kent.

The United Way of Chatham-Kent will announce their totals from the 2018 campaign.

Netflix has announced its biggest price-hike in its 12-year history; for U.S. subscribers.

The most popular plan will be bumped from $11 to $13, so basically an increase of $24 per year.

Canadian prices are also set to rise in the next billing cycle, as part of previously announced plans. The basic Netflix Canada plan, will raise a dollar, to $9.99 a month. Premium plan subscribers pay $3 more.


Thanks to the ominous polar vortex, frigid temperatures are expected in Kansas City for this weekend’s Chiefs/Patriots game.

There’s a chance that this weekend’s playoff game between the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs could be one of the coldest games in NFL history.

It’s being held in Kansas City, and the National Weather Service is projecting an arctic blast to settle over the city at game-time. Temperatures at kickoff could range anywhere from 10 degrees to well below zero.

The record for the coldest game in NFL history dates back to December 31st of 1967, when a game in Green Bay that was played in -13 degree (-25 C) weather.
