Toronto city council has voted 18-8 to ask the province to allow restaurants to sell alcohol starting at 9am on weekends — two hours earlier than is permitted now.

They want to see the hours restaurants and diners can sell alcohol more closely match when the LCBO, Beer Store and grocery stores can do the same.

In December, Ontario alcohol retailers were given permission to sell booze from 9am-11pm, seven days a week.

The request has been sent to Ontario’s Attorney General and Alcohol and Gaming Commission. No word if the request will be granted.

Cadbury just put up a job posting for a new chocolate taste tester.

If you get it, you’ll spend around eight hours a week, at $14-an-hour, trying chocolates at their headquarters in Wokingham, England.

They say anyone can apply, because they’re not necessarily looking for someone with experience, just someone with a passion for chocolate who gives honest opinions. Oh, and no nut allergy.
